Conscious Discipline®This transformational program focuses on adults first and children second as trainers provide parenting skills that build on self-empowerment and safety. This proven program, which includes the use of Feeling Buddies and Loving Guidance, gives children the ability to develop discipline in themselves so that they don’t feel controlled but connected within conflict.
The teachers, parents and children of the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center have embraced this program for the last two years. The goal is to continue this long-term, community-focused training in Hobe Sound and other child-friendly agencies throughout the region that serve children with severe trauma, neglect and/or stress. Learn more about this powerful program at consciousdiscipline.com. Camp Weloki Working with fellow non-profit Children and Families Inc. in St. Louis since 1993, this camp helps children regulate their emotions and feel empowered in their lives and relationships with others, their parents and the world. This personal growth course is focused on girls ages 8 to 17. Each year, Bart’s Blue Star sponsors children who would benefit greatly but otherwise cannot afford to attend the camp. Plus, Ginny Luther also instructs at the camp each year. Learn more about this wonderful program at www.campweloki.com. Soles for Souls Started in June 2013, this program is designed to donate work boots to people who are actively seeking employment and are unable to afford the necessary gear to begin their climb out of poverty. Working in collaboration with day labor employers, Bart’s Blue Star Foundation is the liaison between God and those who are willing to help themselves overcome past trauma. More than 400 pairs of brand new steel toed workboots have been donated through this initiative. We have a bike program to enable the homeless to get to their job. Please donate your unused bike. We have also partnered with LAHIA (Loving and Hope in Action). We are providing various needs for bicycles (i.e. lights, locks, tubes, etc.) that are provided to the poor & homeless. Over 50 bikes donated so far because transportation is also a big need to getting to and from their work.
Donations to other non-profits
Bart’s Blue Star Foundation is also proud to underwrite valuable programs administered by other non-profits, including Hospice of the Treasure Coast, Tykes and Teens and Hibiscus Children’s Center.
